Primary antibodies are configured to recognize and bind unique regions (epitopes) that can in essence, be presented in the context of a broad range of bio-molecules. The specific nature of the interaction between a primary antibody and its associated epitope has led to the routine application of primary antibodies in the detection/quantification of target molecules in applications such as Western Blotting (WB), ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (Flow Cyt), Immunofluorescence (IF), and Immunoprecipitation (IP). As one of the leading suppliers of antibodies worldwide, abmprovides >30,000 gene-specific antibodies in addition to the availability of both the monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies from a wide range of host sources (i.e. rabbit, mouse, donkey, goat).
SensiStain™ IHC Antibodies for Pathology
SensiStain™ IHC antibodies are monoclonal primary antibodies designed for specific and sensitive staining of human tissue through manual or automated staining systems, we will provide the highest quality for your immunohistochemistry (IHC) application needs.
Loading Control Antibodies
Encoded by constitutively expressed housekeeping genes, 'loading control proteins' provide ideal use as a reference to evaluate the changes in expression levels of target proteins. For example, 'loading control antibodies' are often used in Western blots to correct sample loading errors and assist with protein quantification to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results. abm offers a range of common "loading control antibodies", including Anti-GAPDH, Anti-β-Actin and Anti-α- or β-Tubulin.
One of the key features of recombinant technology is that it provides an elegant way to fuse a recombinant protein with a protein/peptide tag, a choice that pivots on the role that is expected of the tag. For example, an epitope tag can aid the solubilization and cellular localization for the fusion recombinant protein and/or greatly simplify the process of purification through the use of tag-specific antibodies. Commonly used epitope tags include His-tag (6-Histidine), HA tag (hemagglutinin), cMYC tag, GST (glutathione-S-transferase) tag, and FLAG tag (DYKDDDDK).abmoffers a wide array of anti-tag antibodies, each of which exhibit high specificity towards their associated epitope tags irrespective of the sequence of adjacent/nearby amino acids.
Monoclonal and Polyclonal Antibodies
Both monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies are available for use in applications.
