|*Notes about Promo Codes: For NON-DISCOUNT promo codes (i.e. free items or shipping) please enter them during check out in the Notes/Promo Code field. To enter a DISCOUNT promo code enter it into the corresponding box in the 'Promo/% Off' column and then click 'Update' for the given product. If the code is valid for that product the discount percentage will display in place of the box and the amount will become the discounted total for that product(s). If the code is not valid it will remain in the box, please double check the expiry and spelling, and if you feel the code should still be accepted please contact us.|
|Alternative Names||Proto-oncogene Int-1 homolog, Wnt-1
Recombinant Human Proto-oncogene Wnt-1 (WNT1)
|Description||Wnt-1 is a secreted protein that signals through the frizzled family of seven transmembrane receptors. Wnt-1 activation induces a complex signaling cascade that ultimately leads to the up-regulation of over fifty genes. Stabilization and resulting accumulation of the intracellular signaling protein β-catenin is an important aspect of Wnt-1 signaling. While known to play in role as a developmental protein, elevated levels of Wnt proteins have also been associated with tumorigenesis.|
|Molecular Weight||38.5 kDa|
|Endotoxin Level||<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method|
|Purity||>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE|
|Bioactivity||Determined by its ability to enhance BMP-2 induced alkaline phosphatase production by murine ATDC5 cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 1.5 - 2.5 ng/ml in the presence of 200ng/ml of human BMP-2.|
|Formulation||Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in Tris and DTT|
|Reconstitution||Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. Do not vortex. For extended storage, it is recommended to further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein (0.1% BSA) and store in working aliquots at -20 to -80⁰C|
|Storage||The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.|
|Usage||For research use only. Not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.|
· Endotoxin is generally measured in Endotoxin Units per milliliter (EU/mL).
· For recombinant proteins: EU is reported per microgram of protein.
· One EU = 0.1-0.2 ng endotoxin/µg of protein.
· At abm, we do the LAL chromogenic assays that can detect down to 0.01 EU/ml.
