Business Development Associate

What you’ll do:
• Identify new lead opportunities
• Initiate contact with possible business/developer/collaboration opportunities through emailing, site visits and other methods of communication
• Make outbound calls to prospective customers
• Complete the sales cycle including: setting up sales presentation appointments, developing customized proposals, and completing contracts
• Analyze market trend and support corporate efforts to expand product portfolio
• Possibility to participate in local and international trade shows and conferences
• Gain invaluable insight into the industry and business operations

Who you are:
• Completion of 1st year Science courses (Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology preferred)
• At least 2 years of sales experience
• Confident and articulate communicator – You are expected to do presentations and conference calls
• Proactive and independent—you have unique ideas and you’re excited to put them into action
• Multi-tasker and collaborator—you can work on many things at once on your own and as a team

Production Technician
GenomeMe Inc. is a rapidly-growing start-up company focused on personalized precision medicine through molecular pathology, diagnostics, and genetic testing. Located in Richmond, BC and with over 9000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art facility, we aim to become a leader in Precision Diagnostics and to empower physicians to deliver personalized treatments precisely tailored to each unique patient. We are currently looking for a new member to join our team, as a Production Technician. The successful candidate(s) will be part of our Production Team, manufacturing our complete line of enzyme and PCR-related products. There will be plenty of opportunities for fast-track career development, while joining our team of highly diverse, innovative, and interactive cohort of scientists.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Assist the senior scientists with on-going projects.
• Carry out production according to SOPs.
• Maintain and organize all production records/documents in accordance to the company’s quality management system.

Qualifications: : shortlisted candidates will have the following experience:
• A minimum of BSc in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biology
• Previous laboratory experience for 6 months.
• Experience in preparing buffers/reagent mixtures.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot
• Experience in PCR, qPCR, and/or pathology will be an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment.
