|Description||Designed for the detection of desmin; SensiStainTM Anti-Desmin Antibody is in ready-to-use format. Desmin (also known as skeletin) is a filament protein encoded by the DES gene. It is typically expressed in striated muscle cells and most smooth muscle cells. Desmin is used as a biomarker in cancers such as rhabdomyomas/leiomyosarcoma/rhabdomyosarcoma/leiomyomas/perivascular cells from skin glomus tumors and is used to identify the myogenic characteristics of tumors|
