iPSC Reporters
Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs) are considered nearly identical to natural pluripotent stem cells, such as embryonic stem (ES) cells, in several aspects: gene and protein expression, chromatin patterns, doubling time, embryoid body formation, and teratoma formation. Monitoring iPSC reprogramming gene expression is crucial for assessing pluripotency.
As a leader in iPSC research, abm has developed adenoviral vector-based reporter systems that enable instant identification of iPSC clones with 100% transduction efficiency for all human cell types and transient expression. We offer both specific gene promoter-based reporters, such as those for OCT4 and Sox2, and highly sensitive, universally applicable EOS vectors.
Licensed from the University of Toronto, these EOS vectors use the Early Transposon promoter with Oct-4 and Sox2 enhancers. This novel promoter is functional exclusively in stem cells, making it an ideal tool for precise iPSC identification.
