Gelatin is a heterogeneous mixture of water-soluble proteins of high average molecular masses, present in collagen. It is commonly used for coating of culture dishes to improve attachment of cells. It can be used to grow mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs), mouse induced pluripotent stem cells (miPSCs) or primary embryonic fibroblasts (PEFs). |

Each lot has been fully tested and optimized for its ability to support in vitro cell culture. The testing parameters include: adherence rate (where applicable), typical morphology, and metabolism of the tested cells. Additionally, the media has been tested for sterility, pH, osmolality and endotoxin levels. |
