Cas9 Nickase Adenovirus
This Cas9 nickase can be used with two target-specific sgRNAs to bind DNA and create two single-stranded cuts. Due to the requirement for two sgRNA guide sequences to be close together for gene editing to occur, using Cas9 nickase should cause fewer off-target effects than using Cas9 nuclease.
|Unit quantity||250 µl|
|Cas9 Expression||Constitutive Cas9|
High titer adenoviruses are shipped with dry ice and low titer adenoviruses are shipped with ice packs. For long term storage, it is recommended to store the viruses at -80°C in small aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
|Quality Control||Restriction Enzyme Digest and Sequencing|
|Shelf Life||1 year (when stored at -20°C or below)|
|Caution||This product is for research use only and is not intended for therapeutic or diagnostic applications. Please contact a technical service representative for more information.|
|Is this Cas9-nickase codon-optimized for a specific cell type?|
Codon optimized for human, but not cell or tissue type specific.
|Does this Cas9 nickase Cat# K007 contain any selection marker (fluorescent protein or mammalian toxin resistance like puromycin)?|
The Cas 9 nickase adenovirus does not contain a mammalian selection marker.
|Is there any tag linked to the enzyme?|
There is no tag attached to the Cas9. This would be very difficult due to the large insert size.
