DescriptionBoth HER2 and HER3 have been associated with the progression of cancer, including breast cancer. Stable VERO Overexpressing HER2 and HER3 Cell Line stably express full length HER2 and HER2. Co-expression of the receptors was established to study heterodimerization. The cells are valuable for studies in breast cancer research to bring insight in the development and progression.

abm has the Stable VERO Overexpressing HER2 Cell Line (T3189) and Stable VERO Overexpressing HER3 Cell Line (T3190) for experimentation with the HER2 and HER3 separately.

Propagation Requirements
Use of PriCoatTMT25 Flasks (G299) or Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) is required for cell adhesion to the culture vessels. Grow cells inECM-coated culture vessels unless otherwise specified in the Propagation Requirements below.
The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow VII medium available at abm, Cat. No. TM017. To make the completed growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (TM999) to final concentration of 10%, 200 ug/mL G418 (G271), 200 ug/ml hygromycin B (G265), and Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) to a final concentration of 1%.

If frozen cells were received and not recovered in your lab under the exact, specified conditions (using recommended culture vessel, media, additional supplements, and atmospheric conditions), a live cell replacement is possible at a cost (plus shipping).
