Description	β-NGF is a potent neurotrophic factor that plays a crucial role in the development and preservation of the sensory and sympathetic nervous systems. β-NGF also acts as a growth and differentiation factor for B lymphocytes and enhances B-cell survival. β-NGF belongs to the cysteine-knot family of growth factors that assume stable, disulfide-linked homodimeric structures. Recombinant human β-NGF shares approximately 90% homology with both the mouse and rat βNGF at the primary level.

	What is the shelf life and storage condition of this product?
	The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
