Description	An IGF-binding protein, IBP-5 is produced by fibroblasts, myoblasts, osteoblasts and vascular smooth muscle cells. IBP-5 has been shown to specifically inhibit breast cancer cell growth by inducing apoptosis. IBP-5 contains an IGFBP domain and a thyroglobulin type-1 domain.

Storage	Upon receipt, store lyophilized protein at –70°C for long-term storage. Short-term storage at –20°C is acceptable if necessary. Once reconstituted, store at 2–8°C for up to 1 month, or at –20°C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

	What is the shelf life and storage condition of this product?
	The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
