Name Recombinant Human SOD1
Description Superoxide Dismutase has been isolated from media conditioned by a murine marrow-derived cell line (PB6) and from the conditioned medium of cultured mouse marrow cells. It antagonizes IL-3 dependent proliferation of cells in culture and reversibly inhibits DNA synthesis of erythroid progenitor cells.

Formulation SOD was lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered PBS solution pH 7.0.
Function The activity was measured by Pyrogallic Acid method and was found to be not less than 1.0 x 10^4 IU/mg.
Reconstitution A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Shipping Conditions This lyophilized protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Cold packs may be used if transit temperatures are elevated. The product remains stable during normal shipping conditions.
Storage Upon receipt, store lyophilized protein at –70°C for long-term storage. Short-term storage at –20°C is acceptable if necessary. Once reconstituted, store at 2–8°C for up to 1 month, or at –20°C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Usage For research use only. Not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
