Name Recombinant Rat IL17
Description Interleukin-17 (IL-17 or IL-17A) is the founder member of the IL-17 cytokine family, which shares 50% homology with IL-17F. IL-17 cytokines are produced by T helper (Th)17 cells, gamma delta T cells, and other immune cells. IL-17A and IL-17F form homodimers and heterodimers as functional ligands. IL-17 cytokines bind to 2 receptors, IL-17RA and IL-17RC. IL-17RC forms a receptor heterodimer with IL-17RA. The receptor heterodimer is preferred by IL-17 ligands , thus, either IL-17RA knockout (KO) or IL- 17RC KO completely abolishes IL-17 signaling. IL-17A and IL-17F are key proinflammatory cytokines involved in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

Formulation Recombinant Rat Interleukin-17 was lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered PBS solution pH 7.5.
Function The activity was measured by the ability to induce IL-6 secretion in murine 3T3 cell assay.
Reconstitution A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Shipping Conditions This lyophilized protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Cold packs may be used if transit temperatures are elevated. The product remains stable during normal shipping conditions.
Storage Upon receipt, store lyophilized protein at –70°C for long-term storage. Short-term storage at –20°C is acceptable if necessary. Once reconstituted, store at 2–8°C for up to 1 month, or at –20°C for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Usage For research use only. Not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
